Does the Grossan irrigator provide a reliable irrigation method?
"Positive Pressure Irrigation (Grossan Sinus Irrigator) irrigates the sinuses more consistently and reliably than other methods. Of the three methods studied positive pressure irrigation distributed solution reliably to the ethmoid and maxillary sinuses and to the bilateral maxillary sinuses in the majority of subjects studied"

Can irrigation help treat a sinus infection?
"Nasal Irrigation with the Grossan Original Sinus Irrigator can potentially be the most therapeutic measure in completely eliminating a sinus infection. It can help quickly and dramatically. I've heard from people who have had an infection for months that within two days of beginning irrigation, the infection was gone, and did not return, even if irrigation was not continued beyond a few days." Dr. Robert S. Ivker President, American Holistic Medical Association Fellow, American Academy of Family Physicians Clinical Instructor, Dept. of Family Medicine and Otolaryngology University of Colorado, School of Medicine. Can irrigation help people who have chronic sinusitus?

The force of the apparatus in propelling the fluid through the nose is so effective in clearing blocked passages that, if it is done regularly, some patients with persistent or chronic sinusitis need no drug treatment at all." Can nasal irrigation help in reducing "colds"?
SAN FRANCISCO, Sep 21 (Reuters) -- Nasal irrigation treatment was ``effective'' in reducing overall incidence of colds among practitioners, according to Dr. Richard Ravizza of Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Ravizza presented the findings recently at the 50th Scientific Assembly of the American Academy of Family Physicians, held in San Francisco. The authors found that students who used the daily saline rinse experienced a significant reduction in the number of colds contracted compared with non-users. On average, those engaging in nasal irrigation had fewer colds over the study period, the authors say, compared with the placebo or untreated groups. 50% of the subjects who formed the nasal irrigation group characterized (the procedure) as pleasant. Many said it was soothing, others said it was comforting.'' Of the remainder, 21% said they had ``neutral'' feelings regarding the procedure
